Literacy Coaching
At Corridor Therapy, literacy coaching means personalized, one-on-one support that builds strong reading, spelling, and writing skills. We look closely at each learner’s strengths and needs, then create targeted lessons that build confidence as well as competence. Literacy coaching is warm, supportive, and completely individualized—designed to help learners of any age feel successful.
We teach using the Orton-Gillingham (OG) approach; a research-based, multisensory method that makes reading and spelling accessible for all learners. OG lessons are structured, explicit, and hands-on. Students learn through sight, sound, touch, and movement—tracing letters in sand, tapping out sounds, building words with tiles, and practicing patterns in a way that helps them truly stick. This approach is especially powerful for learners with dyslexia but beneficial for everyone.
Through virtual or in-person sessions, our goal is simple:
